Pause. Take the faithful step.
Beloved, stop long enough to name what is happening. You do not have to settle every question now. Begin with a truthful response and take the next step toward Christ and faithful company.
I am being tempted
Close the opportunity where you can. Ask what the temptation is promising, pray honestly, and choose a concrete act of obedience. Contact a trustworthy believer if you need company.
Prepare a faithful responseI have fallen
Bring the sin into the light before God without excuses. Seek mercy in Christ, turn from the opportunity, and consider what confession or repair is needed.
Take the road homeI feel alone
Consider one person you can honestly contact. Ask for a conversation, a walk, or time to pray. Friendship grows through ordinary acts of faithful attention.
Remember the family you are called intoI am angry or resentful
Pause before speaking or sending the message. Name what happened truthfully, ask where pride or injury is shaping your response, and seek words that serve another’s real good.
Let love govern the responseI am weary
Distinguish the duty you need to face from the limits you need to acknowledge. Bring the burden to Christ and ask for appropriate help.
Receive care and restI am grieving
You may miss one ordinary thing today, like hearing their key in the door. If you can, tell a trusted brother or sister what you miss. Ask them to sit with you. When you feel ready, read together about the Lord who promises to wipe away every tear.
